I have a friend who has contacts within the big publishing industries who seems to think that I might be able to sell WNC as a graphic novel so I’ve been trying to get a ‘dummy; book together as I have been told they’re not very visual so they need to see what it would look like. Obviously if they bought it I’d redraw all the art but this should more than give them a clear vision as to what it would be like. There’s 23 pages done in total and I’m not quite sure just how many there will be in the end but it seems to have to be somewhere around 125 or so which means I need to add a whole lot of story… Anyway, here’s the first batch. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

As I’ve posted before… I am working on some freelance for a friend of mine, Dr. Ryan doing a coloring book for his foundation Bony Pony Ranch which I am hoping will be the first of many. My friend Harry, wrote the story from an idea I had and did the layouts and I am penciling and inking them.

The stickers from a previous post will be an insert for this coloring book and you’ll be able to buy it in stores from what I’ve heard. Anyway, this is the first half of the book.

Here’s a comic that my friend Harry and I wrote and drew a few years back when Warner Bros Comics asked us to make a version of T&J more like Itchy and Scratchy. We wrote it together, I penciled it and he inked it. It was fun!

I have a color version somewhere around here with words but I can’t find it at the moment. I’ll post it when I do find it.

Here’s another story I did for Bunny Band. I really wish I could still do more of these. Sadly, I’ve lost contact with the guy who used to give me work. The fun part of these comics was that they pretty much left me alone to do as I wanted, designing incidental characters on my own. I managed to sneak quite a few of my friends in there, if you’d like to see who they were supposed to be, check out the list below.

A little trivia:

• The butler is a caricature of a friend Steve Pro who was a P.A. at Warner Bros. back on Tazmania.
• The two techs on pg 2 are my friends Johnny Smeltz and Jimmy Harkins.
• The blonde guy in the hard hat is the old receptionist from Warner Bros.
• on pg 5 there is a caricature of Robert Sledge who was a character layout artist with me on Tazmania, I don’t remember who the other guy was.
• The guy pushing the ore cart is another fellow Character layout guy named Dave Kuhn.
• The Lawyer that visits on pg 7 is a caricature of me older.
• Also on pg 7; in the picture on the wall is a caricature of my ol’ friend Harry McLaughlin; and at the bottom is another caricature of P.A. Steve Pro.

Many moons ago (1992) I used to moonlight as a comic book artist for Warner Bros. Some of the comics I would do were Italian comics for a book called Bunny Band. Basically it was their word for Tiny Toons. I really had a lot of fun doing these and the money was great!

The following comic is about Buster Bunny and Babs Bunny and it’s called ‘Cli Ammiratori Ci Scrivono’. What that means I don’t have a clue.

Another Bruck Chonson pic, this is one of my favorites. I like how the black dominates the image and honestly I am surprised I pulled it off as I’m not so good at contrasts etc.

Hey! This is where I went to art school! My friend Harry went there as well. Check it out! Man, they sure didn’t do this kind of stuff when I was there. The only fully accredited comic book school int he world! Sweet! I did not know that!

My favorite studio in the world will be a large presence at the Comic Con this weekend in San Diego!

The series I am working on Random Cartoons which will premiere next year on Nickelodeonand that my cartoon Flavio is a part of,  is going to be hosting a panel there tomorrow where a bunch of my friends will be answering questions on being a first time film-maker. I am very excited about this as it will be the first time the public will get a look at some of the first cartoons. It’s going to be very exciting and I think Adventure Time will be a big hit there. The rest of them are great cartoons as well, but there is something special about Adventure Time. Why not go and see for yourself!
