Faith the Dog

This dog was born on Christmas Eve in the year 2002.  He was born with 3  legs – 2 healthy hind legs and 1 abnormal front leg which needed to be amputated.  He, of course, could not walk when he was born. Even his mother did not want him.

His first owner also did not think that he could survive.  Therefore, he was thinking of ‘putting him to  sleep.’  By this time, his present owner, Jude Stringfellow, met him and wanted  to take care of him.
She is determined to teach and train this dog to walk by himself.  Therefore she named him ‘Faith’.

In the beginning, she put Faith on a surf board to let him feel the movements.  Later, she used peanut  butter on a spoon as a lure and reward for him to stand up and jump around.  Even the other dog at her home helped encourage Faith to walk. Amazingly, only after 6 months, like a miracle, Faith learned to balance on his 2 hind legs and jump to move forward.  After further training in the snow, he now can walk like a human being.

Faith loves to walk around now.  No matter where he goes, he attracts people.  He is now becoming famous on the international scene.  He has appeared  on various newspapers and TV shows.

There is even one book entitled ‘With a little faith’ being published about him.  He was even considered to appear in one of Harry Potter movies.

His present owner Jude Stringfellew has  given up her teaching post and plans to take him around the world to  preach that even without a perfect body, one can have a perfect soul’.

In life there are always undesirable things. Perhaps one will feel  better if one changes the point of view from another direction.

I hope this message will bring fresh new ways of thinking to everyone and that everyone can appreciate and be thankful for each beautiful day that follows.
Faith is the continual demonstration of the Strength  of Life.

A small request: All you are asked to do is keep this circulating.

Ability or Availability?

This came from my Pastor’s sermon last week and I think it’s fitting for what I’ve been going through.

Maybe you’re going through the same thing?
People think that they don’t have enough talent for God to use them.

Moses stuttered.
David’s armor didn’t fit.
Timothy had ulcers.
Hosea’s wife was a prostitute.

Jacob was a liar.
Solomon was too rich.
Jesus was single and poor.
Abraham was too old.
Titus was too young.
Peter had a big mouth.
Lazarus was dead.
John was self-righteous.
Naomi was a widow.
Paul was a murderer.
Jonah ran from God.
Miriam was a gossip.
Gideon and Thomas doubted.
Jeremiah was depressed and suicidal.
Elijah was burned out, depressed, and suicidal.
John the Baptist did not know how to dress.
Martha was a worrywart.
Mary was lazy.
Sampson had long hair.
Noah had a drinking problem.

See? You may be really messed up but it’s cool… you’re in good company!

Good Morning!

To: YOU

Date: TODAY
From: GOD
Subject: YOURSELF
Reference: LIFE

This is God. Today I will be handling all of your problems for you. I do NOT need your help. So, have a nice day.
Hugs and Kisses

-GOD

P.S.

I love you.

-The Big Guy

P.P.S.

And, remember…

If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do Not attempt to resolve it yourself !! Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.

Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

If you find yourself stuck in traffic, don’t despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.

Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for years.

Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it’s like to love and be loved in return.

Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.

Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.

Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn’t live long enough to get the opportunity.

Should you find yourself the victim of other people’s bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!
Should you decide to send this to a friend; Thank you, you may have touched their life in ways you will never know!
Now, you have a nice day,

-THE MAN UPSTAIRS
