Autodesk’s-The Area

Woohoo! Some of my art made it into the Area’s celebration of 3December! Very cool! 3December is a big event that Autodesk sponsors all over the world and they made a lil’ banner and my faerie painting made it into the collage! Check her out in all her beauty! She’s the lil’ green face at the top right! (click the pic to see it bigger)

I know it sounds silly but I think it’s cool! I know… I’m a geek.

So what!

14th Wedding Anniversary

Fourteen years ago today I married my lovely wife and we’re still going strong. I am proud to say I have not screwed up my marriage yet but it’s amazing to think she still loves me considering that’s pretty much what I actually look like!

Doodle of the Day-The Headless Snowman

I joined a cool drawing blog called Thought Faucet recently which posts a topic each day and artists are invited to draw their version. The other day it was Snowman and this is what I came up with.

Michael Crichton 1942-2008

I am extremely saddened to hear about Michael Crichton’s passing away. He was my favorite author.

He wrote Jurassic Park, Timeline, Congo, Sphere, State of Fear, Westworld, The Great Train robbery, Eaters of the Dead, The Andromeda Strain, Coma, Airframe, Prey, Disclosure and his most recent book Next all of which I’ve read and all of which I found to be fantastic and all of which made me think.

He also created one of my favorite shows E.R. as welland until this season (the last) I have watched it faithfully every year.

Perhaps it’s end has something to do with Mr. Crichton’s illness.

Either way he will be sorely missed. I was looking forward to reading his works for a long time to come

You can read more about Michael Crichton on Wikipedia.
