Mountain Haven Commercial

A long long time ago in a land far away I mentioned on this blog that I was working on an animated commercial for a client named Mountain Haven Spa. I finally finished it with the help of my friends Harry who helped me author the DVD, Adam Ditrioia who did the music and my good friend Tokyo who colored the last scene in Flash! Thanks fellas!

Anyway, it was a long and arduous road. It’s not easy making even something as short as a commercial as I have recently learned. Animation just takes ‘time” no matter what the format is. Anyway,I am proud to say it’s finally complete. I’m pretty happy with it too although it is a bit of a strange commercial. Hey, don’t blame me I didn’t write it. The client is happy with it and that’s ultimately all that matters. That said, you can check out the final piece here.

Ha ha! Yeah, looks bizarre — I was expecting some horrible Ren and Stimpy gore when the top of her head was cut off, so I was a little relieved when it turned out to be a metaphor for a face-lift! Phew!

Thanks John… yeah it is a bit unusual but luckily there was no blood and gore. That can’t be said however for the latest project I am working on which concerns zombies. Yeccch.

  • John Oakley says:

    Nah — zombies are cool!

True, I like them as well… it’s just sometimes not what I want to do.
